Design Coordinator – Roofing Services Division

Job Summary

Working within our Roofing Services (CARS) Division this is an exciting opportunity for a Design Co-ordinator.   The role involves responsibility for overseeing sub-contract drawing offices and taking projects from early design stage through to construction whilst working in close partnership with architects, contractors and site teams.  Our projects range from several months to in excess of a year, working with the UK’s largest contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design co-ordination
  • Dealing with project correspondence
  • Attending design team meetings
  • Detailing and material scheduling for a variety of roofing, cladding and rainscreen systems
  • Undertaking checks on detailing / material scheduling and monitoring programme schedules against progress

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Previous cladding experience
  • AutoCAD experience is essential
  • Proven design knowledge within the roofing and cladding sector
  • Roofing / cladding / rainscreen focus within current role
  • Ability to produce material schedules and understand programmes
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • A responsible pro-active approach with an ability to multi task
