Manufactured from closed cell foams, and available in Polyethylene (PEL) or Metallocene Polyolefin (MP), filler blocks are available ex-stock for all CA Building Products profiles. A short lead-time applies for fillers for other manufacturers’ sheet profiles.

External profile fillers are vented as standard. Filler blocks can also be supplied 'angle-cut' for use on hips and mitres.

Therma-quilt is a non-hygroscopic glasswool, whose individual fibres are coated with silicone, preventing the insulation from absorbing moisture and maintaining the thermal efficiency of the cladding system.

This eliminates the need for breather papers, except on Grade 5 humidity buildings, in accordance with BS5250: 2002.

Therma-quilt also makes a positive contribution to the debate regarding fire within the roofing and wall cladding sector as it is classified as "non-combustible" by the Loss Prevention Certification Board in accordance with BS476 Part 4: 1970. For more information please click here.

A range of “in‐plane” rooflight designs are available, which compliment CA Building Products range of trapezoidal and secret fix roof systems.

Thermal Performance (U-value)

The CA Building Products range of rooflight systems have been designed to enable the building designer to specify various levels of thermal efficiency depending on the type of rooflight chosen. For example the standard in plane Twin‐Therm^® rooflights can be specified with the following U‐values ranging from 1.80W/m²K to 0.90W/m²K, utilising GRP liner panels and top sheets complete with an intermediate core.

Guarantees

Rooflights supplied as part of the roof cladding assembly are offered with a guarantee period to match that of the roof system, up to a maximum of 40 years.
The guarantee period is effectively the same as the metal part of the roof assembly.

CA Building Products offer a broad range of strip sealants with excellent elastic performance, compression and Moisture Vapour Transmission Rates (MVTR).

Therma-foil Plus, aluminium foil backed butyl strip sealant is be supplied 50mm wide for standard liner panel side lap sealing application and 80mm wide for more difficult applications such as hip details.

Therma-strip, butyl strip sealant is supplied as from stock in the following sizes; 9x3mm, 6x5mm, 18x4Vmm
