SolarDuct® is a modular rooftop solar air heating system based on the highly efficient, award winning SolarWall® Transpired Solar Collector.
The system operates in the same manner as the standard SolarWall® collector, however the SolarDuct® system has been specifically developed for use on rooftop applications, when it may not be feasible or even suitable to utilise the traditional wall mounted system.
As with the SolarWall® system, the SolarDuct® technology harnesses the suns energy to heat the ventilation air supply before it enters the main air handling plant. Manufactured in a standard module size, the number & length of SolarDuct® units required for each application are specifically calculated based on the quantity of fresh air that is to be heated and the energy / temperature requirements of the building.
Depending upon available roof space, the SolarDuct® units can be specifically orientated for maximum system performance and are not limited to the fixed orientation of the building elevations. The SolarDuct® system is the perfect SolarWall® system alternative for applications where the air handling plant is located on the rooftop.

Features & Advantages
- Collector efficiencies of up to 80%
- Significant reductions in CO2 emissions
- Quick & easy to install modular rooftop units
- Can be optimised to meet site conditions
- Simple to integrate into existing air intake system
- Individual units are 3m long and will produce 1.7kW of thermal energy
The SolarDuct® technology can also be used for PV/thermal cogeneration systems. With a SolarDuct® PV/T system, the all-metal SolarWall® panels draw the heat away from the PV modules. This heat energy is then ducted to the nearest rooftop air handling unit and then into the building’s conventional HVAC system where it offsets the heating load.
The removal of the heat from the back of the PV modules also enhances the electrical operating efficiency of the PV by up to 10%.
Limitless applications.

CA Group have published a CA Renewables Guide to provide advice and guidance relating to the more popular Solar PV and Solar Air Heating options available. Focusing purely on the generation of power and heat for commercial, industrial and distribution centres.
To download the guide, just click on one of the icons above. The Interactive version contains videos demonstrating how these technologies work and links to the websites which have been mentioned in the document. The Printable version is generated to a higher quality than a regular PDF online which ensures that the document is as clear as possible.
