CA's new FireWall system after sucessful testing at Warrington Fire

CA Building Products have extended their Fire-Tight® product range with the introduction of the new CABP Firewall.

In a response to the growing market requirements to reduce the cost of installing a firewall, CA designed a new firewall using glass fibre insulant, which is found in our standard wall cladding systems instead of rock fibre insulation, which is widely used but can be costly.

Adopting the principles of the existing Twin-Therm® firewall which achieves 240 minutes integrity and 30 minutes insulation, CA tested the new CABP firewall system to BS476: Part 22: 1987, the system achieves 240 minutes integrity and 15 minutes insulation, offering the quality and comfort to designers and specifiers they have always received from CA, whilst reducing the build cost.

The benefits of the CABP firewall system are clear, manufactured from benign components; the system produces no toxic or noxious gases and is proven to not collapse or fuel flame, which is helpful to both fire-fighters and evacuees as it provides a substantial period of time to help bring the fire under control and to evacuate the building safely.
